The Wish Faeries

Privacy

Privacy, in plain words

This is a site for children to enjoy and for grown-ups to sign up to. Only adults can give us any details.

What we collect

The Make a Wish sign-up asks for your email address, an optional first name, and what kind of grown-up you are (parent, grandparent, teacher, librarian or other). It also records that you confirmed you're 18 or older and agreed to hear from us.

Children

We never knowingly collect information from children. Every form asks you to confirm you're 18 or older, and nothing on the site asks a child to type in their name, age, photo or anything else. The Octopuppies game runs entirely in the browser and sends nothing to us. The printable is filled in with pencils, at home, and stays there. If you think a child has sent us their details, message us through The Wish Faeries on Facebook and we'll delete them.

How we use it

  • To give you the printable you asked for.
  • To send occasional news about The Wish Faeries, new books and free printables.

We don't sell, rent or share your details. You can unsubscribe from any email, or ask us to remove you completely, at any time.

Where it's kept

Sign-ups are stored securely with our database provider. The site has no advertising trackers. It remembers your light or dark mode choice in your own browser, and that's all.

The law

We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). For visitors in the United States, we follow the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) by not collecting personal information from children under 13.
